One of the readers reminded me that I left out the modular kitchen from the kitchen series so here it is. A modular kitchen is a modern kitchen with furniture layout consisting of modules of cabinets made of diversified materials which hold accessories inside. This therefore facilitates the effective usage of the space.Modular kitchens are minimalist in nature, they are sleek and clean. If you prefer clean and neat above all else then this kitchen is for you. When designing it remember to work around the triangle which is the cooking zone, the cleaning zone and the storage zone. This will make it as efficient as possible. and ensure you get the most out of your kitchen.

If you want however you can have colours to go with your cabinets. If you go for neutral colors avoid  being boring by choosing colourful cabinets, gadgets or countertops. Bear in mind that modular kitchens make the best colourful kitchens. Ceramic does well for the modular kitchen for flooring as they enhance the neat and clean look. The cabinets can have glass and or steel to make the look diverse and more modern. Incorporate also the use of corner cabinets and triangular racks for maximum storage space.

Modular kitchens have pre-made cabinets which makes it easy to replace or repair if they get damaged. These kitchen being modern provide ample storage space therefore lessen clutter. They are easier to clean than traditional ones but they do require constant cleaning especially after cooking a greasy dish cleaning should be done there and then. The downside of the modular kitchen is that it is a bit on the expensive side in terms of installation and maintenance. However for the neatness they bring they are worth it.
