We all have that one thing that really tugs at our hearts when we are away from home, that one thing that makes us homesick. Now that you have your own house why not turn it into your personal haven?

First ask yourself what you enjoy most at home, which room or space you enjoy spending time in and after answering these questions you will know how to turn your house into an ideal home. Today we will touch on the outdoorsy person.

It is important for any outdoor person to actively participate in the landscaping and ensure there is enough free space for that garden, that ideal pool area or that gazebo. The lighting outside is also as important as the interior lighting. Choose the right paving and walling material and colors for your exterior spaces to ensure you enjoy the outdoors life at home.

If you are an outdoors person then you can start either a flower garden or a vegetable garden, both these gardens require attention and are very fulfilling for most outdoors person. Plant your favorite scented flowers and take time to appreciate their scents or plant veggies to use for salads. If you decide to do gardening then know the soil type and its pH levels.

If you are like me then you enjoy the outdoors later in the day when it is time to watch the sun set with a cup of coffee. In this case there is need for that porch swing bench or those garden chairs where you can sit and watch the sunset and bathe in its radiance. You can even consider having a daybed at the back of your yard if you like taking siestas outside or just soaking in the heat of the sun during winters.

For those who love spending time with family and friends doing the whole ‘gochie gochie’ stuff, have a gazebo or fun area in the plan. Some will use the pool area but it is not really safe when there are children around. Garden chairs, benches and sofas will also add life to the yard for family dinners in summer or when the family just wants to relax outside and talk.
